Lane closures next week on SR 87 from Payson to Pine

Drivers should expect 30-minute delays

PRESCOTT – The Arizona Department of Transportation will close lanes beginning Monday (July 18) on a 10-mile segment of State Route 87 from one mile north of Payson to one mile south of Pine, for the next week as crews apply a chip seal surface to the roadway. Work hours will be 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The lane closures will be approximately three miles long and traffic will be directed through the work zone in alternating directions. Drivers can expect delays of up to 30 minutes.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
