What to expect the week of February 22:

SR 260 LITTLE GREEN VALLEY

Weather permitting, ADOT will be performing maintenance work on the existing roadway Monday, February 22 through Wednesday, February 24. Crews will be working to fill pot holes and repair damage to the shoulder that occurred during recent winter storms. Flaggers as well as temporary signage will guide traffic while crews are present in the work zone. Motorists may experience brief delays during maintenance.

Please be aware of trucks and heavy machinery entering the highway. The speed limit is reduced to 45 miles per hour and there is no passing in the construction zone.

Relocation of Trees
ADOT, in coordination with the US Forest Service, is relocating trees and other vegetation prior to the widening of SR 260. The trees were removed from the construction zone and will be replanted along the sides of the roadway once the project is complete.

ADOT strives to keep the public informed about construction projects, lanes restrictions, and closures. This eUpdate is distributed periodically to help keep the Rim Country communities up to date and alert citizens of any expected construction activities that may affect traffic.

Please note: Changes to construction plans can happen frequently due to weather, equipment availability and personnel issues. We try to anticipate construction activities a week in advance but changes may occur. Intermittent lane closures, with short delays, may not always be known in advance.
